Sam Frost

I co-founded a company called Look After My Bills. In 2018 it went on the BBC's Dragons' Den and came away with the best deal in the show's history. Less than a year later we sold it to GoCompare, the publicly listed comparison group.

I was co-founder and CMO, so growth was my job. That mostly meant convincing a lot of people to trust a brand new company with their energy bills. It's still what I do. The products have changed, the problem hasn't: good businesses are hard to find, and most of them stay invisible to the people who would happily pay them.

What I'm building now

Everything I work on now is some version of helping businesses get found. On the software side:

• RankScore, an AI SEO platform run by an agent called Artemis that turns search strategy into work that actually ships.
• LinkArtemis, an AI tool for link building and outreach, built to handle the part of SEO everyone hates doing.
• WP Rank, AI SEO built directly into WordPress, so the work happens where most of the web already lives.

I also run Suara, which gets brands real press coverage, and a group of media titles including the Tampa Bay Observer, Caliber and Business Life.

Before this

I learned the trade at Future, the publisher behind TechRadar and Tom's Guide. That's where I worked out how search and content actually behave when there are millions of readers on the line, and it still shapes how I build.

I also grew Get Featured Today, now Suara, into a platform that has helped more than 5,500 founders, authors and entrepreneurs land press. My own work has turned up in USA Today, The Independent, AP, Benzinga, The Guardian and ABC.

Why I write here

I would rather answer a good question once and properly than a hundred times over email. So I write about SEO, marketing, and the parts of building a company nobody puts on a slide. It's the stuff I'm actually doing in my own businesses right now, not advice I read somewhere and reheated.

Off the clock

I'm a Brit living in Tampa, Florida with my wife and daughter. When I'm not working I cook a fair amount, read too much about health and longevity, and play golf badly but with real enthusiasm.
